Reid Could Return To Trotters?

Bolton old boy Peter Reid could be set for a role on the Wanderers coaching staff should Sam Allardyce lose his trusted assistant Phil Brown to Derby County.

The Manchester Evening News suggests that Allardyce could turn to Reid if Brown and First Team Coach Neil McDonald leave the club over the coming weeks.

Brown is being hotly tipped to take over as manager at Pride Park whilst McDonald is set to be announced as the new Assistant Manager to Iain Dowie at Crystal Palace.

Should they leave then it will be the first time that the two Geordie coaches have worked outside of the North West area since 1988. For Reid it would be the first time that he has worked at the club since his departure to Everton as a player back in 1982.
