Bolton Wanderers manager Sam Allardyce has admitted that he will attempt to move again for former Tottenham Hotspur striker Sergei Rebrov when the transfer window opens again in January.

The Ukranian international had agreed terms on a move to the Reebok Stadium last week but red tape over work permits meant that the former £11 million striker will continue to play his football in Turkey with Fenerbache who also want shut of the former Dynamo Kiev player.

"We'll have a look at him in action to see how he's shaping up because there's a chance of getting him in January" Allardyce said

"Had he been a player from within the EU he'd be a Bolton player by now" he added
