Former Celtic winger Bobby Petta has blasted Bolton Wanderers following a recent trial period with the Lancashire club.

The Dutchman is angry that he was only allowed to spend a few days at the Reebok Stadium before being told that his services where no longer required due to the fact that fellow midfielder Khalilou Fadiga had returned to full fitness following a health scare.

'Remarkably enough, I did not get the chance to prove myself during a practice game, Last Thursday, my agent called me all of a sudden to tell me that the trial was over. I think that Bolton see more in Khalilou Fadiga. They have him under contract and now they want to go on with him after all." said the former Ipswich and Fulham man.

Championship sides Wigan Athletic and Leeds United have now joined the race to land the 30-year old.
