Past Experiences Will Help Us - Stelios

Stelios Giannakopoulos feels that Bolton Wanderers can learn from their previous battles with Arsenal and get a result at the Reebok Stadium in tommorow's FA Cup quarter final.

The Greek international described the feeling from within the Bolton camp as "great" and looked towards possible progression in the competition at the expense of the Gunners.

"The feeling in the camp is great, This is one more massive game for us and a great opportunity to get to the semi-finals.

"Arsenal are a very big club and will be trying their best as this is the only trophy left to them. But we have already beaten them in the league and we can beat them again."

The 30-year old attacker is only focusing on his immediate future with Bolton despite having won back to back trophies with previous club Olympiakos and a European championship medal with Greece last summer.

"I have to look forward. That is my way of life in football. If you stay in the past you only see the trophies and you can lose your focus.Lifting the FA Cup would be a massive honour for me and a big thing. It would be part of the history of the club."

Giannakopoulos was impressed at how the club bounced back from a dismal December run to climb to sixth in the table and stresses that the Bolton team need to keep that momentum going as the season reaches it's final quarter.

"We are making progress and we all want to be part of it. We all want to play in Europe.I am impressed with the comeback we have made in 2005. We have shown massive character. We have made a good effort to get to sixth in the table and we don't want to throw it away. That would be a pity."
