The report claimed that talks had been completed and the former Paris Saint Germain player would extend his contract at the Reebok Stadium, however Gartside says that such talk is premature and there is still a long way to go before the club's most prized asset will have his future decided.
"Talks have been on the go for a long time but we're not that close," Gartside said
