Jay-Jay Okocha has said that he would like to remain at Bolton Wanderers providing both he and the club can agree on a new contract to keep him in Lancashire.

The 30-year old played a starring role in last night's Carling Cup Semi Final First Leg win over Aston Villa when his two free kicks inspired Wanderers that one step closer to the final and his reaction after scoring the first goal where he mimicked signing a contract as well as his post match comments give a clear indication that the player will sign when he returns from the African Cup Of Nations.

"You never know, but I hope that we can reach an agreement. f not, I will continue in another place but I am having a great time here and hopefully we will sort something out" Okocha said

Just 24 hours earlier chairman Phil Gartside had said that discussions with the Nigerian international had been positive and that he is confident the player will agree a new three-year deal.
