Now It's Qatar For Rivaldo

A report in the Brazilian press this morning claims that Samba star Rivaldo is to turn his back on BOTH Bolton Wanderers and Celtic in favour of a move to sign a lucrative contract in Qatar.

Peter Harrison, the UK based agent for the player stated over the weekend that his client would be signing an agreement with Bolton in the very near future however it now seems yet again as if the player is just playing off each club against one another in a bid to get a better deal.

Trotters boss Sam Allardyce, recently returned from holiday will no doubt be ready to finally pull the plug on the ambitious deal to bring the former Barcelona player to the Reebok Stadium if these reports from Brazil prove to have some foundation.

In other news over the weekend one Sunday tabloid claimed that Bolton where one of nine Premiership clubs hoping to lure Celtic legend Henrik Larsson to England. Blackburn Rovers, Birmingham City, Charlton Athletic, Everton, Newcastle United, Middlesbrough, Tottenham Hotspur and newly promoted West Bromwich Albion are said to be the others to have made enquiries but the former Swedish international is said to want to make his next move to a sunnier climate which would effectively rule out any interest in the UK. Spanish clubs Barcelona and Villareal are also said to be in the running.
