Nolan Calls For Full House

Bolton midfielder Kevin Nolan has urged the club's supporters to turn out in force for the FA Cup Quarter Final game with Arsenal this weekend.

The former England U21 star says that many of the club's players where disappointed to see that only 16,000 turned up for the game against Fulham in the last round and has called for more support in Saturday's game even though he sympathises with the rising costs in football.

"A lot of the lads were disappointed in the last round that we only had 16,000, Some of them must have been wondering whether this was a big competition or not because the fans hadn't come out to see it." Nolan told the Bolton Evening News

"But you can't blame the fans because it's a lot of money now to come and watch us, on top of paying for season tickets. Actually 16,000 is quite an achievement because I can remember games when we had only 8 to 10,000, but it is disappointing when you go out there and there are empty spaces and you're telling the foreigners what a massive competition it is. But I'm sure they celebrated when we won."

The 22-year old says that a full house against the Gunners can lift the players and give the club's foreign stars an insight into the true magic and history that is associated with the FA Cup.

"They haven't really experienced the excitement yet, because we haven't had a sell-out at the Reebok. But I'm sure they know the history of the FA Cup and the gaffer's drilled it into us now that he wants to win it. I certainly want to win it and the rest of the squad want to win it. I do hope it's a full house on Saturday because the fans really can be our 12th man."
