New Rule For Throw In's

Due to the weapon of the long throw Bolton employed on many occasions last season, Sam Allardyce and the players will be happy to hear of the proposed rule change for the new season.

The new rule states that opponents must stand not less than 2 metres from the thrower while he is taking a throw in and this new change will stop the opponent standing right in front of the thrower which we saw on many occasions last season.

This was a disadvantage to Bolton last year where players like Okocha and Nolan were hindered when trying to make distance on their throws.
