New Djorkaeff Deal On The Table

Bolton chairman Phil Gartside will meet up with French veteran Youri Djorkaeff this weekend in a bid to secure the services of the forward for a further season.

Gartside is jetting off to France to talk terms with the World Cup winner and a third year with the Trotters would certainly appeal to Djorkaeff who has previously stated he would like to remain at the Reebok Stadium.

The highly regarded Djorkaeff has been linked with a move to Qatar in the past and the Far Eastern country are waiting in the wings should developments at Bolton stall.

Meanwhile the club are no nearer to securing Emerson Thome to a new deal, the former Chelsea player has rejected the initial offer put to him and is looking likely to move on if a compromise cannot be reached over the coming weeks just a year after his move from Sunderland.
