New boy set for debut

Bolton Wanderers new signing Emerson Thome has been cleared by the FA Premier League to make his debut for the Wanderers against Charlton Athletic tommorow. The 31-year old joined the club on a Free Transfer from Sunderland earlier today and the FA have confirmed the Brazilian has been cleared to play.

Thome is expected to replace the injured Bruno N'Gotty in the heart of the Wanderers defence alongside Florent Laville but mystery still surrounds who will replace Anthony Barness at right back with Nicky Hunt seemingly set for a recall to the side after just one match out of contention.

The signing of Emerson Thome at least calms the clubs injury problems ahead of the deadline this Sunday and his experience is sure to be invaluable to Bolton over the coming months.
