Mixed News On Transfer Targets

Premiership champions Arsenal have joined Bolton Wanderers in the chase to land Racing Santander's highly rated midfielder Yossi Benayoun.

The Israelian international has been tracked by Wanderers manager Sam Allardyce since the summer, but his bid to land the former Maccabi Haifa player could be thwarted due to interest from other clubs.

Premiership pair Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur have also shown an interest in signing up the 24-year old, who has an eye for grabbing goals from the midfield.

Meanwhile, one target who Allardyce does look to be successfully luring to the Reebok Stadium is the Russian striker Dmitri Bulykin. The Dinamo Moscow star has held further discussions with Bolton about a possible loan move and things are looking promising.

A new defender has also been earmarked as a potential signing but Allardyce feels that his limited transfer kitty will only allow him to bring in a couple of faces.
