Midfielder Taken On Trial

Nigerian midfielder Blessing Kaku is the latest player to join Bolton Wanderers for a trial period as the Trotters trawl through the bargain basement in the hope of adding to their depleted squad.

The 26-year old has played in Belgium and Israel during his career and spent the latter part of last season on loan with Israeli club Ashdod FC. He has applied for dual nationality as a Belgian citezen and is said to be keen to secure a move to England.

Kaku is just one of many trialists to be taken on by the Wanderers this summer, some have been successful in securing a deal with the club as in the case of Fernando Hierro and Julio Cesar whilst others such as Hassan Kachloul and Jordi Cruyff have not been so lucky and have been forced to look elsewhere for new employers.
