The Trotters eliminated Atletico Madrid from the Uefa Cup last week.
"No-one gave us much chance against Atletico," said Cahill.

"From now until the end of the season we must keep producing performances like that."

Meanwhile, Bolton boss Gary Megson remains upbeat over their survival chances, despite a heavy schedule due to their UEFA Cup success.

"It depends whether you look and see the glass half full or half empty," he told the Bolton News.

"When you've got five points from ten games, as we had, to be in the position we are in, the glass is half full.

"We are in with a chance. Derby have come out and said they are trying not to have the lowest number of points when they go down, yet we were one point below them seventeen games ago."
