He said: "Bolton are a very good team, but we can't go and not give 100 percent.
"A real battle awaits and it will be won or lost in the physical challenge.
"We need to bring something away from Bolton, at least a draw and we can't concede any goals."
Meanwhile, reports suggest that Bolton are set to give former Celtic midfielder Didier Agathe a trial.
The 30-year-old was released by the SPL side last month and has spent the last few weeks trying to find himself a club south of the border.
