Livesey Set For Blackpool Switch

Bolton Wanderers defender Danny Livesey could be set to move to Lancashire rivals Blackpool for a nominal fee after failing to command a regular place at the Reebok Stadium.

Livesey 19, made the breakthrough at Bolton two years ago after a successful pre-season and seemed destined to follow in the footsteps of fellow Academy graduate Kevin Nolan but his progress has faltered slightly resulting in loan moves to both Notts County and Rochdale to gain regular first team action.

A former Greater Manchester schools captain, Livesey's only action for the Wanderers last season came in the ill-fated FA Cup ties with Tranmere Rovers in which the club went out of the competition in the replay.

Ex-Bolton defender Colin Hendry now in charge of the Seasiders has agreed a fee with the Trotters for the services of the young defender and a move to Bloomfield Road could be completed in the next week. Livesey will once again link up with former Bolton reserve Leam Richardson should his move to the Pool work out.

As one Bolton player looks to be heading to the Seaside another ex-Bolton player looks to be leaving. Striker Scott Taylor who played for the Wanderers between 1996 and 1998 looks set to move from Bloomfield Road so that he can relocate to be nearer his family in the South of England. Taylor scored 27 goals in all competitions for the Tangerines last season and has interested fellow League One side Sheffield Wednesday for a number of months.
