Leicester City manager Micky Adams has once again pushed the name of Sam Allardyce forward when the Premier League announce their Manager of the Year at the end of the season.

Allardyce has taken Bolton to the Carling Cup Final and at the moment can boast a decent mid table position in the league when many thought at the start of the season they would be one of the favourites to go down.

"I would say that Sam is well on course to become manager of the year although I know he will say `let's wait until the end of the season'. Adams told the BBC

Adams says that his former Coventry City team mate Allardyce is having an excellent season and should be recognised and rewarded for what he has acheived in the game as a manager.

The Wanderers boss manages to bring the top quality players to the football club under limited resources and Adams is full of praise for Big Sam and his backroom team.

"He did an outstanding job at Notts County and at Bolton he is becoming just as successful, keeping the club in the Premiership and adding quality. Reaching the Carling Cup final is another excellent achievement and Sam and his coaching staff deserve a lot of credit for what Bolton have achieved."
