Leeds set to move for Bolton target

Bolton Wanderers target Roque Junior may about to sign for Premiership rivals Leeds United after it was speculated that the Yorkshire club had been in talks with the respresentatives of the AC Milan player to take him on a season loan.

The Brazilian World Cup winner had been linked with a move to Wanderers but his excessive wage demands of £40,000 and the fact he didn't view Bolton as a big enough club to meet his ambitions meant that he went elswhere as he looks to leave the Champions League winners.

After Tuesday nights disgraceful performance against Portsmouth, the Bolton manager is keener than ever to strengthen his defensive options and with Anthony Barness and Bruno N'Gotty doubtful for the weekend game with Charlton Athletic it has to come sooner rather than later.

Emerson Thome is still mulling over a move to the club whilst Algerian defender Medhi Meniri looks to earn a contract after being taken on trial from French First Division club Troyes.
