Lee: "We're no long ball team"

Bolton Wanderers assistant boss Sammy Lee has bristled at suggestions they are a long ball team.

The Wanderers are flying as they head for Birmingham on Monday and are aiming to make it six straight victories and six straight clean sheets.

"I believe people have these misconceptions about Bolton," said Lee.

"We are labelled a long ball team. It is a bit unfair.

"Spurs are widely regarded as one of best, one of the most exciting, most talented teams in the Premiership, and quite rightly so.

"They produced twice as many long balls in that game as we did. That is not a criticism of Tottenham but a fact."

Lee also played down talk of a move for released Manchester United captain Roy Keane.

"I would rather not talk about other players or other teams. I am concerned only about Bolton, " said Lee.

"What I know full well is that Sam is always on the look out for quality players."
