Laville Weighs Up Options

Former Bolton Wanderers centre back Florent Laville has options in England and France as he looks to find a new club following his release from the Reebok Stadium last month.

The 32-year old made a promising start to his spell with the Trotters after signing initially on loan from Lyon in January 2003. Sadly a serious knee ligament injury kept him out of action for a year and he was unable to return to Bolton's first team.

A loan spell at Coventry City in the winter helped to boost his fitness but he was told in May that his contract would not be renewed with Bolton. In total he made 15 starts for the club.

Laville says he has already had contact with some clubs.

"At Bolton, everything went off smoothly until my knee injury, I have adapted well to English football and the coach trusted me.When I came back, Sam Allardyce told me to hold on but I was not part of his plans any more.

"My period at Coventry allowed me to be reassured about my knee and found the pace again. It was a good experience, Even if it was not top-level matches."

"The positive aspect is if my knee resisted there, it can resist anywhere! Now I have turned the page and I am looking for a club."

"Nancy and Bastia are part of the trails but there is nothing concrete yet.But the clubs are cautious about my knee. However, there is no worry. I also have contacts in England, to prolong the adventure, that could be fun."
