Goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen is hopeful of signing a new contract which will keep him at Bolton Wanderers until the end of his career.

Recent speculation has linked the player with moves to both Manchester United and Middlesbrough but the Finnish international says that he is more than happy to remain at the Reebok Stadium beyond when his contract expires in the 2006-2007 season.

"It's just speculation, I don't care about it, I'm happy here. I have another two years here and I'm hoping to sign another contract, definitely." he said

Jaaskelainen was signed from VPS Vaasa seven years ago next month and has currently amassed over 200 games in all competitions for the club making the goalkeepers jersey his own for the past few seasons. The 29-year old feels the best is yet to come with and says that he is learning all the time.

"I hope my best is still to come, I'm 29 now and, when I get to 32 or 33, I should be there. I still have a lot to learn -- just small things, really. You always need to be making the right decisions and that comes with the more games you play and the more experience you get. I keep working hard and I'm going to get there."
