Jussi Loses Ban Appeal

Bolton Wanderers goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen has failed to have his recent sending off overturned by the Football Association.

The flying Finn was dismissed during the Wanderers game with Middlesbrough last weekend for a professional foul on Boro striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink. Wanderers felt that Jaaskelainen was not the last man in Bolton's defensive line and therefore submitted an appeal, however this appeal has since been snubbed meaning that Bolton will now have to consider an alternative goalkeeper for their game with Aston Villa tommorow.

Veteran custodian Kevin Poole is likely to get the nod to replace Jaaskelainen against his former club.
