Bolton trialist Jordi Cruyff has impressed the Wanderers coaching staff during their pre-season warm up in Bormio with Assistant Manager Phil Brown confirming that the former Dutch international has settled quickly into his new environment.

The 30-year old former Manchester United midfielder is looking to return to England on a full time basis having been playing in Spain for a number of years with both Alaves and Espanyol and Brown says that Jordi has wasted no time in making new friends, in particular with former Real Madrid ace Ivan Campo.

"Jordi seems to be enjoying himself. This is new for him as the Spanish pre-season is different from ours. He's out to impress us and we've liked what we've seen so far. He speaks fluent Spanish and has become good friends very quickly with Ivan Campo."

Trotters boss Sam Allardyce has targeted a number of new faces to add to his team over the summer and Cruyff, son of football legend Johann could fit the bill perfectly as he is available on a Bosman transfer.

Bolton have already secured the services of Tunisian international Radhi Jaidi and former Leicester City forward Les Ferdinand this week to add to the recent capture of Leeds United striker Michael Bridges and it seems Allardyce is focusing on more new arrivals.
