Bolton Wanderers midfielder Jermaine Johnson has had his loan spell with Second Division neighbours Oldham Athletic extended by a further month after the Jamaican international impressed during his initial period on loan.

The 23-year old was signed by former Latics manager Iain Dowie in November prior to his departure to Crystal Palace and the former Tivoli Gardens player has done enough to warrant a further month at Boundary Park.

Johnson has scored two goals in six appearances so far for the Lancashire side and will be hoping to continue to impress the Athletic caretaker managers John Sheridan, once of Bolton and David Eyres.
