The Nigerian midfielder was taken off in the first half at Eastlands and replaced by Gary Speed after pulling up with the injury and now looks likely to miss the Reebok date with the Gunners.
"It appears that Jay-Jay looks likely to miss out on the Cup game. Hamstring injuries normally take a minimum of seven days to heal." manager Sam Allardyce told the club site
