Jardel Needs Time To Adapt Says Skipper

Jay-Jay Okocha has urged Bolton Wanderers supporters to be patient with recent signing Mario Jardel as he finds his feet in the Premiership following a long time out of action last season.

The 30-year old former Porto striker joined the Wanderers from Sporting Lisbon in August and has only recently started to show glimpses of his previous goalscoring form in both the Carling Cup and a number of reserve games and Okocha points out that the former Golden Boot winner will need time to adjust to the change in pace of the Premiership.

"We don't have to put pressure on him. We need to give him some time, like every other player to settle in. The Premiership is a difficult league but i think we should bear with him. He's not played for a long while and its always difficult to come back especially in the Premiership" Okocha told the clubs official site.
