Jardel Could Still Have Bolton Future

Mario Jardel may get a second chance to prove himself with Bolton Wanderers providing he can make a success of his loan spell with Serie A strugglers Ancona says the Trotters manager Sam Allardyce.

Jardel joined Wanderers in August after deciding to leave Sporting Lisbon following a year of personal problems and many thought that the arrival of the Brazilian ace would be a further boost for Bolton giving his previous track record in goalscoring for the likes of FC Porto, Galatasary and Sporting which saw him win the Golden Boot twice however the 30-year old's move to England didn't work out as planned and despite some success in the early rounds of the Carling Cup the player failed to make much of an impact in the Premiership, failing to start a single game.

Spanish sides Espanyol and Numancia wanted to take the player on loan but it was Italian strugglers Ancona who snapped up the player until the end of the season and Wanderers manager Allardyce says that he hopes the player can rejuvenate himself whilst in Italian football which could eventually lead to a Bolton recall.

"He's only on loan until the end of the season. He was desperate to play first-team football and with us bringing in Javi Moreno it gave him less of an opportunity to play"

"He had a chance to play for Ancona in the Italian League and I sincerely hope that he scores lots of goals to get his confidence back. Who knows after that" Allardyce said.
