Former Bolton forward Mario Jardel is due in France on Saturday to discuss a possible move to Nancy.
The 31-year-old is looking to resurrect his career in Europe and has interested Nancy who want a look to see whether he is still capable of performing at the highest level.
"We want to discuss with him both his motivation and his physical state," said Nancy president Jacques Rousselot.
"It is an option which is interesting to us."
