Bolton Wanderers are reported to have completed the loan signing of giant striker Carsten Jancker from Italian side Udinese but the club have yet to confirm or deny a move for the German international.

Various reports claim that the 29-year old will move to Lancashire at the second time of asking to offer experienced back up to current first choice striker Kevin Davies. Manager Sam Allardyce tried to sign the player back in 2001 following the Trotters promotion to the Premiership but the player chose to remain in Germany with Bayern Munich before his move to Italy a year later.

However after just two goals all season for Udinese in Serie A, Allardyce is said to have offered the front man a lifeline at the Reebok Stadium.
