Jaidi Wants To Stay At Bolton

Radhi Jaidi has confirmed that his agent is in talks with Bolton Wanderers over the possibility of signing a new contract, but the Tunisian was quick to stress that reports of a deal already being completed are premature.

Bolton are keen to keep the big defender in their squad for the immediate future, and have offered him an improved deal in an attempt to make him stay at the Reebok Stadium.

The 30-year old handed in a written transfer request earlier in the month, but this was later rejected by the Wanderers as chairman Phil Gartside in particular called for the honour of players contracts to be reviewed.

Jaidi is currently away on international duty but hopes that a conclusion can be reached in the next few weeks.

"Contrary to weekend reports, I have not yet signed a new contract at Bolton. It is true, though, that through an agent representing them, Bolton have offered me an improved deal, and hopefully we can come to an agreement soon"

"I want to be a Bolton player and take this club forward. It's an exciting time to be at the Reebok and I want to be part of it. It's my aim to help the club grow and I'm determined to make a big contribution to it's success".
