Tunisian international Radhi Jaidi is set to become a Bolton Wanderers player within the next few weeks according to the Sunday People newspaper.

Jaidi 28, is said to have already held talks with the Trotters about a move to the Reebok Stadium and everything is in place for the African to move to the club in time for next season.

The tough tackling centre half was the star man for his country in this years African Cup of Nations tournament, earning rave reviews from many after adopting a man marking style which made him one of the best defenders of the competition.

Any move for the Tunisian would depend on whether former Sunderland star Emerson Thome agrees a new contract to stay with Bolton but as the days pass this is seemingly less likely.

It is not the first time that Wanderers boss Sam Allardyce has looked at players from Tunisia to strengthen his squad, earlier in the year the Tunisian captain Mourad Melki, a team mate of Jaidi at Esparence was being lined up for a move to the club.

Meanwhile the Sunday tabloids also claim that Euro 2004 star Massimo Oddo is ready to quit cash strapped Lazio in favour of a move to the English Premiership. The 28-year old defender is being hunted by both the Wanderers and their Carling Cup Final rivals Middlesbrough.
