Inter Release Vieri

Bolton Wanderers have entered the race to sign Italian striker Christian Vieri.

The 31 year old was released by Inter Milan on Friday, despite still having one year remaining on his contract.

Reports suggest that he could be heading to either Tottenham, Seville or Fiorentina, but Trotters boss Sam Allardyce has now apparently made an enquiry for the forward.

This would be a welcome signing for Bolton fans if Vieri can re-discover the form that made him one of the best strikers in the world, and Allardyce's interest is not a suprise due to the fact he's still in the hunt for a 20-goal-a-season striker.
