Hunt To Miss Toon Clash

Bolton Wanderers injury problems worsened this afternoon with the news that Nicky Hunt will miss this weekend's clash with Newcastle United because of a hamstring injury sustained in last weekend's win over Middlesbrough forcing the Bolton manager Sam Allardyce into a defensive re-shuffle.

It comes as another massive blow to the Bolton manager who already lost key defender Florent Laville for six months with a knee injury and the loss of in form 20-year old Hunt will mean yet another defensive re-think.

Anthony Barness has began training following a similar injury and could deputise depending on whether or not the former Charlton Athletic man feels no side affects to the hamstring injury sustained against Portsmouth last month. Simon Charlton may also come into contention having played in the reserves defeat by Aston Villa during the week.

Some brighter news is that Youri Djorkaeff will be involved in the squad for the Newcastle game following injury.
