Bolton's Nicky Hunt is facing a further spell on the sidelines after dislocating his shoulder in the first half of the 2-1 defeat at Newcastle United on Sunday lunchtime.

Hunt, who has just returned to the side following an ankle injury, collided with the ex-Chelsea wing back Celestine Babayaro in the 14th minute of the match and was immediatly replaced by Khalilou Fadiga.

The 21-year old was taken straight to a nearby hospital and now faces surgery on his shoulder which may keep him out of the next Premiership game with Manchester City a week on Monday.

It is not the first time that the Westhoughton-born youngster has needed treatment for this type of injury as back in the 2002-2003 season he was injured in a reserve team game away at Birmingham City.
