No twins have ever played for Bolton in a competitive fixture in the Club’s 125-year history and the twins Holdsworth have been named in Sam Allardyces 16 man squad to play the Shakers.

This is the first time they have been named in the same squad since their early playing days at Watford.

Dean, the younger of the two told the clubs website: "I don't think we ever thought we'd play together again.

"We have had a natter about the possibility of us both being on the pitch at the same time and it would be a nice piece of history for Bolton and for ourselves.

"When David arrived we had an eye on this one as the game he should be aiming for.

"He's got his fitness levels up and got himself in the squad. If he gets on the pitch I'd like to get on there too."
