Henrik Pedersen's dreams of a return to the international fold in time for the European Championship's could be dashed as the Danish striker was left out of his country's squad to face Scotland in Copenhagen at the end of April.

Pedersen 28, has been in fine form for Bolton recently and previously stated a desire to return to the international fold in light of recent performances, but the Danish coach Morten Olsen has named Peter Madsen, Jon-Dahl Tomasson and Ebbe Sand as his prefered strikers for the friendly against the Scots.

Despite the snub the former Silkeborg man remained upbeat and vowed to continue his fine form on the domestic scene as Wanderers go into their final four matches of the season

"At the moment things are going well for me in Bolton, and almost every ball I touch is getting a goal. When I'm not among the 22 players national coach Morten Olsen names for the Scotland game, I'm probably not going to the Euro 2004 finals. But I think I'm good enough for it." Pedersen said
