Gartside Attacks Media Contingent

Bolton Wanderers chairman Phil Gartside has launched an attack on the national media, claiming that the club are still disrespected when talked about in the tabloids.

The Trotters supremo beleives Wanderers efforts have gone unnoticed over the last few seasons amongst the national media and has called for the clubs efforts to be more noticed in the future, especially having considered the constraints in which the club currently works under in comparison to some of the more wealthier teams in the division.

"I begin to wonder what we have to do to get national recognition for the tremendous efforts the team has produced in the last few years, We are only a few points behind teams who have spent millions and a few points in front of teams that have done likewise. When we beat Leeds, people were talking about their problems and not about a club that has spent £3million on players transfers over four years.

Gartside also joined the growing number of Wanderers supporters disgruntled with the lack of Television coverage which the club has received with only the Aston Villa and Birmingham City games in October being shown live so far with a further match against Leicester City in February scheduled for TV coverage.

"To add insult to injury we have had only two live TV games this season and the next one is scheduled for February next year. Can anyone tell me what we are doing wrong?"
