The Reggae Boyz star is due to play an international match this evening in the World Cup qualifier against El Salvador thus putting him under increasing pressure to prepare for Wanderers Premiership clash against Crystal Palace this weekend.
Gardner missed the game with Manchester United last month under similar circumstances and is only expected to return from his current travels on Friday thus giving him less than 24 hours to prepare for the game against the Eagles.
