Bolton Wanderers defender Florent Laville has targeted a return to first team action before the end of the season and says that he is happy at the progress he has made in the rehabilitation programme since injury.

The 30-year old former Lyon captain has been sidelined for the last six months having sustained a serious knee ligament injury in the home win over Middlesbrough in September but now feels that he is ready to get his career back on track after a frustrating season.

"It depends on me, on the knee and on the coach. I will not say I will not play again this season. I am happy, because the operation went well and I am nearly back playing again.

Laville is aiming for some reserve team action within the next month having started to do some light training excersises and hasn't yet ruled out making a first team comeback.

"I am doing warm-up exercises now and in just a month I will be playing in the reserves, I hope.It is difficult when you don't play and it is more difficult at the end of the season, because that is the best time to play, the best games with the biggest crowds."
