Frenchman Keen On Trotters Switch

Roma midfielder Olivier Dacourt is "very interested in joining Bolton" despite interest from Birmingham and Manchester City.

It appears that Sam Allardyce's team have the upper hand in the race to capture his signature.

Bolton will be playing in next season's Uefa Cup, something Steve Bruce's Blues and Stuart Pearce's City cannot offer the Frenchman.

Dacourt, 30, fits Allardyce's ideal transfer profile and will join the likes of Jay-Jay Okocha and Ivan Campo if he moves to The Reebok Stadium this summer.
