Bolton Wanderers search for a new striker may lead them to PSV Eindhoven's Arnold Bruggink, a 25-year old former Dutch international who has requested to leave the Phillips Stadium in search of a new challenge following the expiry of his contract.

It is widely known that the Bolton manager Sam Allardyce is in the market for new faces to add to his depleted squad and the striker who is on a Bosman and within Bolton's range, is one of many names that has been linked to the Reebok Stadium in recent weeks.

Allardyce who has failed in his attempts to sign veteran strike pair Dennis Bergkamp and Hakan Sukur has already added to the forward line over the summer by taking former Southampton striker Kevin Davies on trial, however it is thought he still seeks a 15 to 20 goal a season man to strengthen his strikeforce and provide competition for the likes of Henrik Pedersen, Delroy Facey and Jonathan Walters.
