Fadiga To Carry On Playing

Senegal midfielder Khalilou Fadiga has been given the all-clear to resume his footballing career.

The 29-year old has now returned to first team training having been out of action for two months, and will be monitored closely by top surgeons Professor Brugada and Dr Wellens.

Fadiga himself has vowed to carry on with his career after long discussions with his family and this has been supported by cardiologist Brugada and the medical team at Bolton Wanderers.

"He is under the care of the expert cardiologist Professor Brugada and cardiovascular surgeon Dr Wellens. Khalilou has an implantable defibrillator as part of his management. He is no risk to or from other players.

"In Professor Brugada's expert opinion, considering all the medical details of the case, Khalilou is now medically fit to play professional football.The player has decided to resume training with a view to playing first-team football again.

"Bolton Wanderers, having taken several opinions, will support the player's decision and monitor his health very closely."
