Derby County have signed Khalilou Fadiga on a one month loan deal.

Rams boss Phil Brown has been scouring the transfer market in a bid to bolster his threadbare squad and has returned to old club Bolton to bring in Senegal international Fadiga.

The 30-year-old, who is well down the pecking order at Bolton could make his debut in Wednesday's clash with Coventry.

Bolton boss Sam Allardyce told the club's official website: "Khalilou will spend a month with Derby County and will get much needed match practice with Browny's side."

"Hopefully if all goes to plan, the formalities will be done later today in time for Derby's match against Coventry tonight."

Meanwhile, Derby are also hoping to sign Wigan Athletic centre half Emerson Thome.

Rams boss Phil Brown is desperate to bring in a defender on loan and has enquired about the possibility of landing the former Bolton stopper.
