The 29-year old is currently on trial at the Reebok Stadium having left Inter Milan during the summer and Wanderers boss Sam Allardyce is hopeful that the African midfielder can put recent health problems behind him and produce the form which made him a star for his country at the World Cup in the Far East two years ago.
Fadiga can move outside the transfer window as he is a free agent.
