Mark Fish ends his international career
Former Bolton Wanderers defender Mark Fish has announced his retirement from the international game - for the second time in his career.

The 30-year old Charlton Athletic man was criticised recently by the local media in South Africa following a heavy defeat to rivals Ghana and this has prompted the ex-Wanderers star to announce he will no longer be available for international selection thus ruling him out of this weekend's World Cup qualifier against Burkino Faso in Johannesburg.

It is not the first time Fish has quit the international scene following a row. In the 1999-2000 season whilst still a Bolton player he retired from the Bafana Bafana team claiming that the amount of games he had to play was having an effect on his domestic football with the Trotters.
