England midfielder Owen Hargreaves has refused to rule out a move to Bolton Wanderers should he decide to leave current Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich and head to the Premiership.

The 23-year old Canadian-born star has been a target for many of England's leading clubs following his rise to fame in Germany and says a move to his adopted homeland is something that appeals to him.

Hargreaves, who father Colin is Bolton born and a former youth player with Wanderers says that he hopes to follow in his fathers footsteps and play in England one day.

"I will definitely play in England one day, it is something I have always wanted to do, I used to watch the highlights of the English Premiership and dream as a kid."

"The thing which spurred me on was that my dad was a player in England, and I think every kid wants to do what his father did, so that kept my dream alive.

Hargreaves who represented England in the 2002 World Cup Finals in Japan and Korea says that his family of Wanderers supporters would be keen to see him play for Bolton but the player himself says he has no preference as to who he will sign for. Previously the youngster has stated however that he would want to join up with a team who could offer the prospect of Champions League football.

"I'm sure my family would like to see me at Bolton Wanderers, but whoever it is, the prospect really appeals to me."

Meanwhile Wanderers have been linked with a move for Cameroonian defender Jean-Joel Perrier-Doumbe after the player requested to leave Auxerre at the end of the current season. Doumbe will be joined by Jean Alain Boumsong, Djibril Cisse and possibly Olivier Kapo, another Bolton target who will leave Didier Deschamps side.
