Duo Ruled Out Of Rovers Cup Tie

Bolton Wanderers duo Ricardo Gardner and Kevin Davies will miss the club's trip to Tranmere Rovers in the FA Cup on the 4th January having accumulated five bookings during the season.

Jamaican international Gardner and striker Davies where both booked in last night's Carling Cup victory over Southampton and will both now be ruled out of the tie at Prenton Park in a fortnight's time due to a one game ban.

Gardner had thought he would miss the upcoming Premiership tie with Leicester City but he had a yellow card rescinded by the Football Association panel to keep him on four cautions for the season, however a booking picked up against the Saints means he will now be suspended after all.
