Personal favourites of mine at Bolton in previous years have been the 1999-2001 home shirt and the 1993-1994 red and blue stripe away shirt. As for the worst?, well that is easy and it goes without saying that the 1997-1998 purple away kit was absolutely awful. Maybe your choices are similar to these or entirely different.
