Bolton Wanderers midfielder Youri Djorkaeff has said that he is more than happy with his life in Bolton whilst adding that he is looking forward to going to the Millennium Stadium to face Middlesbrough in the Carling Cup Final on Sunday afternoon.

The 35-year old says that he is delighted at the prospect of playing in another major cup final to add to a catologue of domestic truimphs and has thought about nothing else other than the clash against Boro this weekend.

''For me, the final is a bonus, I am eager to play on Sunday and am still very happy in Bolton. I play each match as though it is my last one, without thinking of tomorrow. I am delighted at the idea of playing in a final. I don't want to think of anything else.''

The former Inter Milan and Monaco player also heaped praise on the English game and says that the passion amongst the people involved in the game is greater than on any other stage in the world. Having played in World Cup Finals and European Championships as well as many domestic finals the Frenchman says he has found England to be the most hungry in terms of how they feel about the game.

''Frankly, here we have an extraordinary league, I think if there is still a country where the word 'football' still represents something, it is England. 'I have played in many countries and I can tell you finally, that true football, the most pure, is here. It is the football that everyone is dreaming about. When you are here, there is no disappointment."

The veteran World Cup winner also revealed that he will be negotiating a new contract once Sunday's Carling Cup Final against Middlesbrough is concluded and says that he is happy with how things are in Bolton.

''I will meet with the chairman in March and then think about contracts. Bolton have given me a lot of freedom which is nice. The fans are fantastic. At Bolton I feel fine, happy.''
