Former Bolton Wanderers winger David Lee is tipping his old club to overcome Aston Villa and book their place in the final of the Carling Cup but admits the side must go to Villa Park and be positive in tonight's second leg clash.

Lee, who made over 150 appearances for Bolton between 1992 and 1997 says that it is important that the Trotters take advantage of their three goal lead and not be defensive minded in their approach to the game against David O'Leary's team.

"Bolton will never have a better chance of reaching a major final, Holding a three-goal advantage is a massive boost , they'll win through" Lee said

Lee who was a losing member of the 1995 Coca Cola Cup Final whilst with Bolton thinks that an early goal from either side will change the shape of the game but he is confident that his former employers will have the upper hand.

"Bolton have plenty quality players so I'd be looking for an early goal to kill off the game. I wouldn't go to Villa trying to defend.Having said that, there's the need to guard against conceding an early goal because this means it's game on again. I'm tipping Bolton to win." he added
